Information For Primary K-6 Students

Did you know that every day that you attend the Hospital School you will be marked as 'present' on our Roll? If you are a long term or Day Student your attendance will be sent to your home school every fortnight. So you won't be marked as 'absent' even when you're in hospital!

Our focus at the school is literacy, numeracy and technology. To help you achieve your best in these areas we have a large range of resources ranging from reference books, computer programs and internet access. If you have schoolwork from your own school our teachers will give you the support you need to complete this.

If you are going to be in hospital for an extended period of time or are part of our Day Student program, we will contact your home school to ensure that you follow the same educational program as your classmates. This makes your return to school so much easier, and because we have internet access you can stay in touch with your school as well through email. We also have a large range of recreational and craft activities. These include such things as games, lego, jewellery making, clay modelling and cooking. Perhaps you'd like to relax with a good book. Our library caters for all tastes and abilities as well as providing audio books for when you just want to lie back and listen to a story.
